Larry Porter
My name is Larry Porter and I am 58 years old. I have been fishing since I was 6 years old. I started out just going fishing whenever I could get a free day, from there I started fishing rodeos and small tournments.
My son, Tim, and his friend, Joel Wheelon, started a guide service and they needed one more person so I was more than happy to help out. My son then changed jobs and had less time, so now Joel and I are the main guides with Tim helping out in a pinch. We have been guiding for around 6 years now.
We provide guides services on 5 lakes, Cherokee, Douglas, Norris, Boone and South Holston.
Fishing to me is one of the most rewarding and fun things on the face of the earth.
